The artist

Behind every Ammama Sketch is a real artist and a real story.

Ammama Sketch is a handmade portrait studio. Each drawing begins with a photograph you share and is created by hand — not generated.

An artist portrait will appear here when it is uploaded.

Introduction

Ammama

Behind every Ammama Sketch is a real artist and a real story. Ammama creates each portrait by hand from the photograph you share.

Approach

How the work is made

Pencil work stays close to the photograph — light, graphites, and quiet detail. Colored portraits add warmth where the memory needs it.

Pencil work

Graphite portraits are built slowly — light, structure, and the quiet details that make a face familiar. They suit photographs with clear light and a calm, readable expression.

Colored work

Colored portraits carry warmth through skin, clothing, and the atmosphere around a person. They ask for a photograph that already holds the colors you want remembered.

A handmade philosophy

A photograph keeps the instant. A portrait asks someone to sit with that instant and draw it again, mark by mark. That slowness is the point. Nothing on this site is produced by a generator, and no finished piece is promised to look like a print run.

If you would like to see how a commission moves from photograph to finished page, the process is written out plainly.

Bring a photograph. Leave with a portrait.

Ammama will draw it by hand.
