Colored portraits carry warmth through skin, clothing, and the atmosphere around a person. They ask for a photograph that already holds the colors you want remembered.

A photograph keeps the instant. A portrait asks someone to sit with that instant and draw it again, mark by mark. That slowness is the point. Nothing on this site is produced by a generator, and no finished piece is promised to look like a print run.
