Choose pencil or color
Graphite is quiet and lasting. Color can keep a favourite jumper or a garden light. Either is drawn by hand.

Send a recent, sharp photograph
A clear face matters more than a formal pose. Children move; a slightly imperfect but sharp frame is better than a soft studio smile.

Mention siblings or a name if it helps
If two children should share the page, say so in the notes and upload a picture of each when you do not have them together.

Drawn at the age in the photograph
The artist will not age the child forward or invent a pose that is not in the reference.

Can I send a filtered phone portrait?
A natural photograph is better. Heavy filters hide the features the artist needs. If that is the only clear picture, send it and say so.
