A portrait begins with a photograph. This page says why that photograph is collected, how it is used, and how to ask about it later.
Why photographs are collected
Ammama draws from a real reference. The photograph you upload is collected so the artist can see the person, pair, family, or animal you want on the page. Without that image, the commission cannot be made honestly.
How photographs are used
Uploaded photographs are used to create the commissioned artwork and to fulfill that order — including any preview the studio shares with you. They are not treated as public pictures by default.
Sharing a customer photograph, or the finished artwork, in the gallery or on social channels requires separate consent. Placing an order is not that consent.
How they are stored
Photographs are stored so the artist and the studio can complete the order you placed. Access is for that work, not for an open public album.
How long they are kept
Retention details will be published here once the studio finalizes them. Until then, photos are stored privately and used only to create your commissioned artwork.
Asking for a photograph to be reviewed
If you want a reference photograph removed or have a privacy question, write through the contact form. Include enough detail for the studio to find the order or the message — without forwarding the photograph again unless you are asked to.
