Process

From a photograph to a page in your hands.

Seven quiet steps. No software generating the drawing — Ammama makes it.

Turnaround is confirmed after your order is reviewed. The current estimate is set in admin settings.

  1. 01

    Choose your artwork

Begin with pencil or color, then decide who the portrait is for — one person, a couple, a family, a pet, or a gift.

  2. 02

    Upload your photograph

Share a clear reference. The artist works from the complete photograph you send, not from a cropped guess.

  3. 03

    Place your order

Confirm size, subjects, optional framing, and delivery details. Pricing is calculated at checkout from the options you choose.

  4. 04

    The artwork is created

Ammama draws the portrait by hand. Turnaround is confirmed after the order is reviewed, not guessed in advance.

  5. 05

    Review and approval

When a preview is offered for your order, you can look at it and approve or request a revision according to the studio’s revision policy.

  6. 06

    Framing, if you chose it

If a frame is part of the order, the finished drawing is prepared with that option before it is packed.

  7. 07

    Delivery

The portrait is packed and sent using the delivery option confirmed at checkout. You can follow the order once it is placed.

Photographs

What helps the artist most

You do not need a studio portrait. You do need a photograph the artist can actually see.

Light over filters

Natural or even indoor light is kinder than a heavy filter. Soft shadows are fine; crushed darks hide the face.

Faces that can be read

Eyes, nose, and mouth should be visible. Sunglasses, heavy blur, or a turned-away head make the likeness harder to hold.

Send the whole photograph

Do not crop tightly before you upload. The artist needs room around the subject, even if the final composition is closer.

One clear reference is better

A single strong photograph usually serves better than many unclear ones. Extra photos can help for clothing or grouping when needed.

Uploaded photographs are used to create your commission. Read how photos are handled.

Revisions

If a preview is shared, you may request an adjustment through your secure order page. The studio reviews each request individually.

A photograph captures the moment.

A portrait keeps it alive.
